From Talent Search to Horses, Forests, and Swedish cabins

From Talent Search to Horses, Forests, and Swedish cabins

The past twelve months have been a whirlwind of people, projects, and passions. I’ve reconnected with my network in Life Sciences and helped match top talent with exciting opportunities, while also nurturing two ventures close to my heart – Blixten & Friends and The Little Swedish Stuga. Together, they’ve given me balance: one part professional growth, one part community, and one part pure joy.

Searching for Talent, Building Connections

At PeakSearch, I’ve had the privilege of working with Life Science companies to find leaders who truly make a difference. From QA/RA specialists to scientific writers, these searches have been about more than filling roles – they’ve been about shaping futures.

What I love most about recruitment is being the connector: guiding candidates through career-defining moves while ensuring companies find leaders who align with their values and ambitions. With an international background and more than 25 years in the industry, I’ve learned that recruitment is never just about skills – it’s about people, culture, and long-term potential.

Every search is a reminder that recruitment is about relationships – listening, understanding, and creating the right fit so both people and organisations can thrive.

Blixten & Friends – Horses, Nature, and Community

Alongside this, I launched Blixten & Friends, inspired by my very wise old horse, Blixten. What began as conversations in the stable has grown into a platform celebrating the simple joys of life: connecting with nature, spending time with animals, and embracing mindfulness.

Through our YouTube channel and social media, we’ve shared stable stories, interviewed inspiring voices like Cáit Hennessy from the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society, and invited people to reflect on the lessons horses and forests can teach us.

At its heart, Blixten & Friends is about community – a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel inspired, whether you’re a lifelong horse lover, a nature seeker, or simply curious about mindful living.

The Little Swedish Stuga – A Forest Welcome

The third strand of my year has been The Little Swedish Stuga, a cosy retreat in the forests of Hölö. Hosting guests from near and far has been such a joy. People arrive seeking peace and quiet – and leave with a sparkle in their eyes after forest walks, evenings by the fire, or the simple act of feeding birds outside the cabin window.

The stuga has become more than just a place to stay – it’s a sanctuary. For me, it’s also a reminder that hospitality is storytelling: every guest becomes part of the living narrative of this little corner of Sweden.

Looking Ahead

As I look ahead, I’m excited to keep weaving these threads together. Talent search will remain at the heart of my professional journey, helping Life Science companies grow by finding the right people. At the same time, Blixten & Friends will continue to evolve as a mindful community with more stories, interviews, and retreats. And of course, The Little Swedish Stuga will go on welcoming guests seeking peace and inspiration in nature.

In the end, it all comes back to people, stories, and creating spaces – whether in boardrooms, stables, or forest cabins – where we can connect and thrive together.

✨ Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings!
